About 6th Prof. R. V. Dhanapalan National Moot Court Competition 2026
The Prof. R. V. Dhanapalan Inter-College Moot Court Competition is designed to foster a deep understanding of emerging trends in law. It encourages students to engage in jurisprudential analysis and develop the practical skills required in a courtroom. By simulating real-world legal disputes, the competition aims to prepare the next generation of legal professionals for complex advocacy.
Eligibility and Team Composition
- Eligibility: The competition is open to bona fide undergraduate law students pursuing 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programs from any institution recognized by the BCI.
- Team Limit: Each participating institution may send only one team.
- Entry Limit: Registration is restricted to the first 24 teams on a first-come, first-served basis.
Awards and Rewards
The competition features a total prize pool of approximately Rs. 40,000:
- Winners: Rs. 15,000 + Winner’s Trophy + Certificates.
- Runners-up: Rs. 10,000 + Trophy + Certificates.
- Most Disciplined Team: Rs. 3,000 + Trophy.
- Best Student Advocate (Male & Female): Rs. 3,000 each + Trophy.
- Best Researcher: Rs. 3,000 + Trophy.
- Best Memorial: Rs. 3,000 + Trophy.
- All Participants: Certificate of Participation.

The competition will be held at the college campus: The Central Law College, Yercaud Main Road, Kannankurichi, Salem, Tamil Nadu – 636 008.
Registration Fee and Process
- Registration Fee: No Fees (Participation is free).
- Registration Process: Interested teams must complete the online registration form. Following the online submission, a hard copy of the registration details must be sent to the college by January 9, 2026.
