About HPNLU Law Journal
The HPNLU Law Journal (HLJ) is an annual online publication envisioned to bridge the gap between traditional classroom learning and societal impact. It provides a dedicated platform for judges, professors, research scholars, and students to analyze contemporary legal issues. The mission of HLJ is to promote innovative legal scholarship that encourages social change and critical intellectual debate.
Theme and Eligibility
- Theme: The journal follows an open-theme policy. Submissions with an interdisciplinary perspective on contemporary socio-legal issues, theories, and developments are highly encouraged.
- Eligibility: The Call for Papers is open to:
- Faculty members and academicians.
- Research scholars and doctoral candidates.
- Judges and legal professionals.
- Law students.
Categories for Submissions
The journal accepts various forms of academic writing with the following word limits (inclusive of footnotes):

Formatting and Submission Guidelines
All manuscripts must adhere to the following technical standards:
- Font Type: Palatino Linotype.
- Font Size: 11 (Body text), 10 (Footnotes).
- Spacing: Double-spaced paragraphs.
- Margins: 1.5 inches on both the left and right sides.
- Format: Submissions must be in electronic format (MS Office/Word).
- Originality: The work must be original and not currently under consideration by any other publication.
Submission Procedure
- Submission Deadline: February 15, 2026 (11:59 PM).
- Covering Letter: Every submission must include a covering letter with the title of the paper, author details (name, designation, affiliation), and contact information.
- Originality Declaration: Authors are required to submit a solemn declaration stating the originality of the manuscript.
