About the Centre for Research in International Law (CRIL)
The Centre for Research in International Law (CRIL) is a student-run body at NLIU established to increase awareness of international law and policy. CRIL seeks to ensure an active and inclusive atmosphere, creating an interface between like-minded students and the extensive area of international law through lectures, panel discussions, and conferences organized in collaboration with esteemed organizations.

The Journal welcomes submissions by everyone, including students, academicians, and scholars. It is dedicated to exploring contemporary and pertinent developments in the vast field of international law and policy. Its scope is broad and inclusive, encompassing various domains, including:

Submission Requirements
The manuscripts may be submitted in the following categories:
- Long Article: 5,000 – 8,000 words
- Short Article: 3,000 – 5,000 words
- Case Note / Case Study: 1,500 – 3,000 words
- Book Reviews: 1,000 – 2,000 words
- Co-authorship up to a maximum of two authors is permitted.
- All manuscripts submitted must be original and unpublished.
- Plagiarism of content or idea will lead to a direct rejection.
- The author(s) bear the responsibility for the facts, authorities, or views presented.
Review Process
- Stage 1: Technical Review (Turnitin & Manual Review: Manuscripts with more than 40% plagiarism or more than 10% overall or 5 instances of manual plagiarism are rejected).
- Stage 2: Content Review I
- Stage 3: Content Review II
- Stage 4: Peer Review
Formatting Guidelines
- Abstract: A mandatory abstract of 250-300 words, highlighting the structure and essence of the manuscript, must be included (exclusive of the word limit).
- Title of the manuscript: Times New Roman, Bold, Font Size 16, 1.5 line spacing, all caps, and center alignment.
- Main Body: Times New Roman, Font Size 12, 1.5 line spacing, 1-inch margin on all sides, and justified alignment.
- Footnotes: Times New Roman, Font Size 10, 1.0 line spacing, and justified alignment.
- Citation Style: Footnotes must strictly adhere to the standards of the Oxford University Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities (4th ed., 2012) (OSCOLA 4th edition).
- The use of speaking or substantive footnotes, endnotes, or hyperlinks will not be accepted.
