About CICTL Blog Writing Competition 2025

The competition seeks original and unpublished analytical blog posts that address legal, regulatory, and policy issues. It provides a platform for students to offer doctrinal, comparative, empirical, or normative perspectives on contemporary challenges.

Themes and Scope

Submissions must focus on one or more of the following areas:

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Environmental Law
  • Data Privacy

Eligibility and Submission Guidelines

  • Eligibility: Open to all students currently enrolled in 5-Year or 3-Year law courses from Colleges/Universities in India recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
  • Authorship: Individual or joint authorship (maximum of two authors) is permitted.
  • Word Limit: 1500–2000 words (excluding endnotes).
  • Formatting: Submissions must be anonymized and original. Manuscripts should not be under consideration elsewhere.

Prizes and Recognition

A total cash prize pool of ₹15,000 will be awarded:

  • Winner: ₹7,000 and a Certificate of Merit.
  • First Runner-Up: ₹5,000 and a Certificate of Merit.
  • Second Runner-Up: ₹3,000 and a Certificate of Merit.

Career Opportunities:

  • The winners and first runners-up will be considered for paid internship opportunities with Royzz & Co. and Burger King India.
  • Note: The Burger King India internship is subject to an interview round.
  • Winning entries will be published on the official CICTL Blog and featured on their social media platforms.

Registration Fee

  • Single Authorship: ₹300
  • Co-authorship: ₹500

Timeline

  • Registration Deadline: January 15, 2026
  • Submission Deadline: January 20, 2026
  • Declaration of Results: March 7, 2026
