About Law Internship at Nation First Policy Research Centre (NFPRC)

Nation First Policy Research Centre (NFPRC) is inviting applications for a Law & Policy Intern to join the Land Reforms Project within its Legislative Research Team. This is a paid, hybrid internship offering hands-on exposure to high-impact policy research.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Education: Law students or recent law graduates with a strong academic record.
  • Interest: Demonstrated interest in property law, land reforms, or public policy.
  • Skills: Strong research, analytical, and writing skills; high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency: Proficiency in English (mandatory); familiarity with legal research databases and standard office productivity tools.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of land and property laws, rent control frameworks, and state-specific land regimes across India.
  • Draft research notes, case summaries, and supporting documentation for model legislation and reform proposals.
  • Compile and manage state-wise legal datasets and comparative analyses.
  • Track legislative business in Parliament and State Assemblies relating to land and property laws.
  • Support the Legislative Research Team in drafting briefing notes, policy memos, and stakeholder materials.

Stipend

  • Stipend: ₹10,000 per month (with possibility of revision based on performance).
  • Benefits: Hands-on exposure to high-impact policy research and legislative reform work; mentoring from senior researchers.

  • Location: Hybrid (Noida) — Combines remote research with required on-site collaboration in Noida.
  • Duration: 2 months (with possibility of extension based on performance).
