About Legal Internship Opportunity at PRS Legislative Research

PRS Legislative Research is offering an unpaid, physical (in-office) Research Intern position, ideal for students across disciplines with a strong interest in policy, legislation, and parliamentary work.

Internship Details

  • Position: Research Intern (Departments available: Research and Outreach)
  • Mode: Physical (In-office) — interns must report to the office.
  • Duration: Flexible, normally 4 to 8 weeks.

Eligibility & Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist analysts in research on legislation and policy issues.
  • Prepare briefs, notes, and background research for parliamentary work.
  • Support PRS’s analysis of Bills, debates, and legislative functioning.
  • Contribute to outreach activities (tracking MPs/MLAs, citizen engagement, legislative data).
  • Undertake and complete an internship project under mentorship.
  • Work on projects assigned during parliamentary sessions or matched to the intern’s interests during non-session periods.
