About FSSAI
The Food Safety & Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is a statutory body established under the Food Safety & Standards Act, 2006, under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. It is the apex authority responsible for regulating and supervising food safety across the country.
About the Internship
The FSSAI Internship Scheme provides structured learning and exposure to food regulation, safety administration, and policy-related work. Interns will be placed within specific divisions at the headquarters to work on projects that integrate industry standards with academic learning.
Internship Details
- Position: Legal Intern (FSSAI HQ)
- Organization: Food Safety & Standards Authority of India (FSSAI)
- Location: FDA Bhawan, Kotla Road, New Delhi (On-site / Physical)
- Duration: Minimum 2 months | Maximum 6 months
- Stipend: ₹10,000
- Facilities: Workspace and internet provided; Interns must bring their own laptops.
- Certification: Certificate issued upon successful completion and report approval.

Eligibility Criteria
- Status: Students pursuing a full-time Graduate / Postgraduate / Higher Degree.
- Degree: Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (mandatory).
- Institution: Enrolled in a recognized institute in India or abroad.
- Scope: This application is specifically for the FSSAI Headquarters (New Delhi).
Key Responsibilities / Role
- Assist in projects related to food safety regulation and administration.
- Work on assignments linked to Food & Nutrition Management Processes.
- Support policy, regulatory, documentation, and compliance tasks.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for evaluation by the Committee.
