About Legal Internship at Madhya Pradesh State Judicial Academy
The Madhya Pradesh State Judicial Academy proposes part-time non-residential internships for students pursuing LL.B. and LL.M. Interns will be required to participate in various activities related to the academy’s work, including research, writing, and assisting in conferences and seminars. Interns will be associated with specific research projects and will be required to provide research assistance. The number of part-time interns will be based on the needs of the academy.
Eligibility
LL.B Students: An eligible candidate should-
- Be enrolled in a 5-year LL.B. or 3-year LL.B. programme at a recognised college or school.
- Have a good academic and co-curricular record.
- Have good computer skills relevant to the work profile, like proficiency in online- research and familiarity with common MS Office applications.
- Preference shall be given to 4th and 5th year students and 1st year students shall not be taken as interns.
LL.M. Students: An eligible candidate should-
- Be enrolled in a regular LL.M programme at a recognized College/University/Law School
- Have a good academic and co-curricular record.
- Have good computer skills relevant to the work profile, like proficiency in online- research and familiarity with common MS Office applications.
Vacancy
No fixed number of interns is proposed for a particular session. However, the number of interns at a time may not exceed 10.
Duration and Timing
The minimum duration for part-time LL.B internships is 3 weeks. Part-time interns will be associated with specific projects and will work with the Academy for the duration of the project. The duration for LL.M
internship is 4 weeks. The interns shall be required to remain present at the academy during normal office hours. However, they may be required to remain present after office hours in cases of necessity.
Perks
A certificate of the internship will be provided to the interns after successful completion of the internship programme as per the scheme.
Application Procedure
Applicants will be required to send their applications through their College/University/Law School. Bonafide recommendation of the College/University/Law School shall be required. The application
should be sent so as to reach the Academy latest by the 5th day of the month preceding the month of the proposed internship. The Application should consist of the following:
- Forwarding letter and No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Head of Department, Dean, Principal, Director or the Registrar of the College/University/Law School, mentioning the proposed month
of internship. - Application form in prescribed proforma by the candidate with contact details, expression of interest and proposed duration of internship.
- A PDF copy of the application form along with Forwarding Letter and No-Objection Certificate (NOC) should be e-mailed to MPSJA.
- The email should state “Application for Internship” as the subject.
- Forwarding Letter, No-Objection Certificate (NOC) and application form (in original) must be produced at the time of reporting at the Academy. If the documents are found to be incomplete on verification, the internship will be cancelled with immediate effect.
