Amazon is seeking an Associate Corporate Counsel (ACC) for a fixed-term of 3 years in Bengaluru. This role requires 3+ years of PQE and mandates dual qualification as a lawyer (LL.B.) and an Associate Member (ACS) of ICSI. The ACC will focus on end-to-end contract negotiation (procurement, MSAs, sales, advertising), providing legal counsel across IP, e-commerce, and digital media, and ensuring secretarial/regulatory compliance.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Required: LL.B. (undergraduate law degree) from a recognized university in India.
  • Required: Associate Member (ACS) with Institute of Company Secretaries India (ICSI) with a valid membership (Dual Qualification Mandatory).
  • Required: 3+ years of legal experience (PQE).
  • Required: Practicing lawyer or in-house attorney with primary and autonomous responsibility in client advisory, reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Preferred: Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing legal counseling and advice on a wide range of legal areas (IP, digital media, e-commerce marketplace, company secretarial, regulatory compliance).
  • End-to-end negotiation and documentation of a variety of third-party contractual relationships (NDAs, master service agreements, procurement, sales, advertising agreements).
  • Resolve issues arising in commercial relationships and handle pre-litigation disputes/inquiries.
  • Review various program constructs for new/existing business initiatives and develop/refine terms and conditions.
  • Review and approve promotional artwork and advertisements to ensure compliance with Amazon standards.
  • Analyze business processes, understand requirements, draft contract scope, and function autonomously.
