Economic Laws Practice (ELP) is urgently seeking a lawyer with significant experience to join its Corporate and Commercial team in Mumbai, suitable for the designation of Principal Associate or Senior Associate.

Focus Areas
The role focuses on complex corporate transactions and advisory, including:
- M&A and Investment Transactions: Working extensively in PE/VC/M&A matters
- Transaction Management: End-to-end closing of transactions.
- Drafting & Negotiation: Drafting, review, and negotiation of transaction documents (such as SSA, SPA, SHA, BTA, term sheet, etc.).
- Due Diligence: Leading due diligences independently.
- Advisory & Regulatory: Strong understanding of corporate laws such as Companies Act, 2013, SEBI laws (LODR, PIT regulations), and Foreign Exchange Laws.
- Adaptability: Ability to pick up new areas of law and adapt to various work streams (advisory, drafting, negotiations, corporate litigation).
- Client Interface: Effectively communicating with the client.
Eligibility
- Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience in General Corporate practice.
- Strong understanding of key corporate and securities laws (Companies Act, SEBI, FEMA).
- Proven experience in handling M&A and investment transactions.
