Key Responsibilities
- Legal Strategy & Compliance: Support the Regional Head in executing legal, regulatory, and risk management strategies. Roll out compliance programs and training in India.
- Contract Management: Draft, review, negotiate, and terminate commercial contracts. Drive the contract lifecycle from drafting to signature.
- Dispute Resolution: Manage disputes and coordinate litigation for Fugro affiliates in India. Attend court cases if necessary.
- Specialized Legal Support:
- Maritime Law: Advise on international shipping regulations, charter parties, and marine insurance claims.
- Data Protection: Implement policies complying with data protection laws and conduct regular audits.
- IP & Antitrust: Coordinate IP protection with the global department and provide advice on antitrust matters.
- Labour Law: Act as a legal business partner for the HR department regarding employment contracts and litigation.
