This role involves collaborating with global legal and business teams to provide guidance across transactional and non-transactional legal domains, with a focus on commercial engagements, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, and cybersecurity.

Focus Areas
- Transactional sphere: Direct and indirect distribution, M&A, services, software, and cloud solutions.
- Regulatory compliance, Contractual disputes, Litigation, Intellectual Property, Workplace relations, Privacy, and Cybersecurity.
- Legal Center of Excellence (CoE) operations and continuous improvement.
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualified to practice law in India (mandatory).
- 5–13 years of legal experience in-house or at a law firm, or a combination of both.
- Proficiency in negotiating IT contracts with government and commercial entities in services, software, and cloud solutions (required).
- Experience in addressing issues related to privacy, cybersecurity, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance (required).
- Ability to work independently with strong commitment to integrity and ethical conduct.
- Dispute advisory and litigation; understanding of government procurement policies; process improvement track record; prior in-house legal experience (ideally in a multinational company).
Key Responsibilities
- Offer legal guidance and assistance to IBM’s global lawyers and business teams.
- Contribute during the early stages of commercial engagements (transactional sphere).
- Advise business and support functions (procurement, real estate, HR, finance) on various regulatory and compliance issues.
- Work in the Legal CoE dedicated to continuous operational improvement in legal service delivery.
