Key Responsibilities
This role focuses heavily on Regulatory Compliance and Dispute Resolution. Your primary duty is to act as the legal shield during regulatory scrutiny:
- RBI Liaison: Handling complaints escalated through the Integrated Ombudsman Scheme. You will be responsible for drafting responses to the RBI and other statutory bodies.
- Internal Coordination: Acting as a central hub between the legal department and branch executives to gather factual feedback on customer complaints.
- Legal Drafting: Drafting and finalizing merits-based replies, legal notices, and internal agreements or deeds.
- Hearing Attendance: Representing the bank in personal hearings for reopened cases, ensuring the bank’s position is defended with proper documentation.
- Reporting: Maintaining a data-driven approach by preparing MIS reports (Monthly/Quarterly) for the Head of Legal (Consumer Finance Division).
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: LL.B. or LL.M. from a recognized university.
- Core Experience: 2–4 years of experience specifically handling RBI complaints, consumer litigation, and banking documentation.
- Language: Professional fluency in English and Hindi is mandatory for cross-location coordination.
- Legal Knowledge: A deep understanding of the Banking Regulation Act, SARFAESI, and Negotiable Instruments Act.
