About the Job

KBR is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Assistant to support the U.S./U.K. Litigation and Labor & Employment legal teams. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with responding to records subpoenas, legal document review, data collection, and litigation support, and must be comfortable working across time zones in collaboration with U.S.-based counsel.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) or equivalent

Key Responsibilities

  • Subpoena Management: Coordinate responses to U.S. third-party subpoenas, including reviewing for scope, collecting responsive documents, and assisting with redactions and confidentiality checks.
  • Document Review: Collect and organize documents from internal systems; prepare letters and response packets.
  • Tracking & Reporting: Maintain accurate tracking logs of subpoenas, deadlines, and response status. Assist with Legal Hold Administration and reporting.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with U.S.-based attorneys, paralegals, and HR partners. Acknowledge and distribute Service of Process to stakeholders.
  • eDiscovery: Support eDiscovery data collection requests.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in legal support, litigation, or document review (Law firm, corporate legal department, or ALSP experience strongly preferred).
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with U.S. litigation processes, especially subpoenas and records requests.
  • Skills: Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Software Proficiency:
    • Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint).
    • Document review tools such as Purview and Relativity.
  • Attributes: Self-driven, resourceful, able to handle sensitive matters with discretion, and comfortable coordinating with U.S. business hours when needed.
