About the NUSRL
NUSRL has been established by an Act of the State Legislature prompted by the vision of the constitutional forefathers that the law, legal system and legal institutions have an overarching role for the human, social, political and economic development of the nation. Law is one of the Social processes having the maximum filtering capacity of societal processes is needed for healthier growth of democracy and the constitutional rule of law.
About the CSRIPR
Centre for Study and Research in Intellectual Property Right is one of the foremost centers of excellence in the realm of Intellectual Property Law in North India. This Centre was founded in response to an escalating need felt by scientists, lawyers, technologists and companies. The object was, and still is, to gain thoughtful knowledge in patent, trademarks, design and copyright law.
The CSRIPR wishes to gain a better insight and glimpse into new and evolving areas of intellectual property law (such as the protection of software, semi-conductor products and biotechnological inventions, standardisation and technology transfers) and the general problems of patents, trademarks, designs and copyright.
About the Internship Opportunity at DPIIT-IPR Chair
This internship will revolve around one month and during the course of which students will be required to research nuances of Intellectual property law and other related fields in this realm. Interns will be required to select a topic for their case study on topics related to IPR before the commencement of their internship.
The nature of the topic is required to have a socio-legal aspect of IPR. The selection criteria for the internship will consist of two rounds:
- CV Selection
- Interview
After the concerned student has been shortlisted for the interview round, he/ she is required to appear before the panel with his/her topic in which the applicant is interested. The panel will then deliberate on whether or not the selected topic is suitable for the internship.
If found suitable the intern will be required to continue with it otherwise the topic shall be amended or the applicant shall be assigned a topic during the course of the interview itself.
Eligibility
Applicants for this internship should be either pursuing their Under Graduate or Post Graduate Legal studies in a college/University recognized by Bar Council of India or any other institution of prominence within India or Abroad.
Relevant Dates of Internship
- Deadline for Application: 25th July 2024
- Interview Round: 30th July 2024 onwards
- Release of names of selected Interns: 5th August 2024(Tentative)
- Commencement of Internship: 10th August 2024
- End of Internship: 10th September 2024
