About Paid Legal Internship Opportunity at CCI

CCI offers a prestigious, paid legal internship program in New Delhi, providing students with direct exposure to India’s dynamic competition law and policy landscape.

  • Position/Vacancies: Legal Intern (15 seats per month)
  • Internship Type: On-site
  • Location: New Delhi, India
  • Stipend: ₹15,000 per month (honorarium).
  • Certification: Electronic Internship Certificate awarded upon satisfactory completion, based on mentor approval.

Duration

The internship is generally for 1 month, beginning on the 1st working day of each month. Internships of 2–3 months are allowed with a University/College recommendation.

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Undergraduate Students:
    • 2nd or 3rd year students of the 3-year LL.B. program.
    • 4th or 5th year students of the 5-year integrated LL.B. program.
    • Students who have completed 3rd year exams and are entering 4th year.
  • Postgraduate Students: LL.M. students.
  • Must be an Indian national.
  • Must be from a recognized Institution/University with exposure to Competition Law.
  • Not eligible if the applicant already has a placement offer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work under CCI mentors on competition law matters.
  • Conduct research, prepare briefs, and support case analysis.
  • Assist in reviewing anti-competitive practices, mergers, and policy issues.

Additional Application Requirements

Applications must be sent in the prescribed format only and must include:

  • A recommendation from the competent authority of the academic institution.
  • A Statement of Purpose (SOP) (200 words) explaining the topic and study objectives.

Applications are accepted on a Rolling Basis. The application must reach CCI by the 1st of the preceding month (e.g., for an internship starting in January, the application must reach by December 1st).
