About TNDALU
The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University (TNDALU), established in Chennai in 1997, is the first affiliated Law University of its kind in India. The University’s School of Excellence in Law offers all academic programs, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees. The School is designed to foster legal research and is structured similar to National Law Universities.
About Legal 3rd National Tamil Criminal Trial Advocacy Competition
The competition is specifically dedicated to promoting mooting and trial advocacy in the regional language of Tamil. It focuses on the practical application of Criminal Law and the NDPS Act, encouraging participants to understand and argue complex legal issues arising under these domains. This platform allows law students to significantly enhance their skills in examination, cross-examination, and oral arguments, while learning crucial courtroom ethics and procedure entirely in Tamil.

The competition centers on complex legal issues arising under Criminal Law and the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS Act).
Mode and Format
The competition utilizes a hybrid format:
- Procedural Test: Conducted online via Google Meet.
- Preliminary Rounds and Quarter-finals: Conducted online.
- Semi-finals, Finals, & Valedictory: Held in-person, offline.
