About Legal Job Opportunity at Inttl Advocare
- Role: Patent Litigation Associate
- Experience: 2–5+ Years PQE (Post-Qualification Experience).
- Location: Noida, Uttar Pradesh (Branch Office).
- Core Focus: Specialized Patent Disputes and Technical Litigation.
Key Responsibilities
This is a technically demanding role that requires a bridge between legal theory and scientific reality:
- Complex Litigation: Managing patent infringement suits, revocation petitions, and counter-claims before the High Courts (primarily Delhi) and the Commercial Courts.
- Technical Analysis: Analyzing scientific documents, laboratory reports, and patent specifications to identify “prior art” or “inventive step” arguments.
- Drafting: Preparing highly technical pleadings, including plaints for infringement, written statements, and expert witness affidavits.
- Oral Advocacy: Making independent appearances and assisting senior partners during heavy-duty final hearings.
- Expert Coordination: Working closely with scientific experts and patent agents to build a robust technical defense or prosecution strategy.
Eligibility Criteria
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years in active patent litigation. Experience in generic IP (trademarks/copyright) is good, but specific patent experience is mandatory.
- Scientific Acumen: Ability to digest and explain technical/scientific concepts to the bench.
- Legal Mastery: Deep understanding of the Patents Act, 1970, and the Manual of Patent Office Practice and Procedure.
- Communication: Exceptional oral advocacy and drafting skills.
