About Legal Job Opportunity at Centriik
- Role: Trademark Associate
- Experience: 1–2 Years PQE in Intellectual Property.
- Location: India (On-site; specific city to be confirmed during the interview process).
- Core Focus: Trademark Prosecution, Portfolio Management, and Enforcement.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for protecting the “visual identity” of brands through the following work:
- Clearance Searches: Conducting comprehensive searches on the Trademark Registry and providing risk assessment reports to clients before they launch new brands.
- Prosecution: Managing the filing process, drafting responses to Office Actions (Examination Reports), and handling trademark renewals.
- Adversarial Matters: Drafting and filing Notice of Oppositions and Counter-Statements.
- Enforcement: Issuing Cease & Desist notices, managing domain name disputes (UDRP), and executing online takedowns on social media and e-commerce platforms.
- Global Coordination: Working with foreign counsel to manage Madrid Protocol applications and direct filings in international jurisdictions.
Eligibility Criteria
- Experience: 1–2 years specifically in Trademark practice. Candidates with prior exposure to the “prosecution” side (handling Registry objections) are highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong drafting abilities for legal submissions and a keen eye for “deceptively similar” marks during searches.
- Attributes: Ability to handle multiple deadlines simultaneously and a proactive approach to portfolio management.
