About the Centre for Studies in International Trade and Investment Laws
CTIL was established to serve as a center of excellence in the field of international trade and
investment law. It was officially inaugurated in 2016. CTIL’s establishment was a significant milestone in India’s efforts to strengthen its engagement with the global trading system and enhance its understanding of international trade and investment laws.
About the International Conference on Gender Dimensions of Trade under the WTO Chairs Programme
This Conference offers a crucial platform for dissecting the intricate relationship between
international trade law and women’s empowerment. In an era where globalization significantly
shapes economic landscapes, it is imperative to unravel the complexities surrounding women’s
participation in trade and its implications for gender equality. This conference aims to delve
deep into the pressing issues confronting women in the realm of international trade, including
access barriers, disparities in resources and opportunities, and the intersectionality of gender
with other socio-economic factors.

Professionals from Legal and non-legal disciplines (Arts & Humanities Discipline),
