Key Responsibilities
Matrimonial litigation in Bengaluru involves navigating the Family Courts with precision. Your role will include:
- End-to-End Litigation: Drafting and filing petitions for Mutual Consent Divorce, Contested Divorce, and Nullity of Marriage.
- Interlocutory Matters: Handling applications for Interim Maintenance (Section 24 HMA), Child Custody/Visitation rights, and Injunctions.
- Criminal-Matrimonial Nexus: Dealing with matters under Section 498A IPC (now relevant sections of BNSS) and the Domestic Violence (DV) Act.
- Court Craft: Making regular appearances before the Principal Judge, Family Court, Bengaluru, and assisting in High Court appeals.
- Empathetic Counseling: Managing client interactions where emotional intelligence is as important as legal knowledge.
Eligibility Criteria
- Experience: 1–3 years in litigation. While general litigation experience is welcome, a demonstrated interest in Family Law is essential.
- Skills: Excellent drafting skills for affidavits and petitions, and the ability to conduct thorough research using SCC Online/Manupatra.
