PQE
2 to 3 years
Eligibility
- Candidates should have a law degree from the top NAAC Accredited Colleges/ Universities with at least 2 years of relevant PQE in Media & Production House related work with a reputed law firm or company aligned with the Role Description provided below.
- Candidates having sole litigation or dispute resolution experience are not eligible. We insist you apply ONLY if you meet the eligibility criteria above. Applications that do not meet these criteria will not be entertained.
Notice Period
Not more than 1 month; we are looking for someone based out of Mumbai/ready to relocate to Mumbai.
Role Description
As part of the secondment, you will be embedded within the legal team of one of India’s biggest production houses, supporting all legal aspects related to film, television and OTT production, distribution, and other media-related ventures. This role offers direct exposure to complex legal matters in the entertainment sector, including content licensing, intellectual property, production contracts, regulatory compliance, and gaming. Agreements, content review and advisory, and dispute resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for film, television, OTT, and digital content production.
- Conduct script reviews, content reviews, and provide legal opinions on various aspects of film, television, OTT and other digital content.
- Provide strategic legal counsel on intellectual property rights, including copyright, trademarks, and media rights.
- Support day-to-day legal needs of the client.
- Collaborate closely with senior management, production teams, and external stakeholders to resolve legal issues efficiently.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified lawyer with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience with a background in media, entertainment, and intellectual property law.
- Strong understanding of the entertainment industry, including film, television, OTT, and digital media.
