The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of India is a statutory public body constituted on 12 October 1993 under the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993. It is responsible for the protection and promotion of human rights, defined as rights relating to life, liberty, equality, and dignity of the individual guaranteed by the Constitution or embodied in International Covenants.

- Duration: 2 Weeks (February 2 – February 13, 2026)
- Timings: 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM (Mon-Fri)
- Mode: Online
- Stipend: Rs. 2,000/- (Upon successful completion)
- Deadline: January 11, 2026 (18:00 Hours)
Eligibility Criteria
- Education:
- Students in 3rd year and onwards of an integrated 5-year PG course.
- Students in 3rd/final year of a graduation course.
- Students of any semester/year of any Post-Graduate degree or Diploma course.
- Research Scholars in any stream.
- Marks Requirement: Consistently attained a minimum of 60% marks in Class XII and all subsequent courses.
- Note: CGPA/SGPA must be converted to percentage with the formula clearly mentioned.
- Age Limit: Not more than 28 years old as on January 1, 2026.
- Availability: Students must ensure full-time availability (10:00 AM – 5:30 PM) during the internship period.
Documents Required
- Statement of Purpose (SoP): A 250-word write-up on ‘Statement of Purpose for joining NHRC Online Short Term Internship’.
- Marksheets: Self-attested scanned copies of mark sheets from 12th Standard onwards (including current course).
- Recommendation Letter: Scanned Recommendation letter/email by HOD/Dean/Principal in the prescribed proforma.
