About Legal N.J.Y. Memorial International Moot Court Competition, 2026
ICFAI Law School is organizing the N.J.Y. Memorial International Moot Court Competition, 2026, on February 7–8, 2026. The competition will be held in a hybrid mode, with national teams competing offline on the campus and international teams competing online. The last date for registration is January 31, 2026.
About ICFAI Law School
ICFAI Law School operates as a constituent part of various ICFAI Universities, offering integrated programs like the BBA-LLB(Hons) and BAJ-LLB(Hons). These institutions are dedicated to providing a holistic legal education that seamlessly integrates law with management and humanities disciplines. The schools prioritize practical legal skills, including advocacy and legislative drafting, and operate with the approval of the Bar Council of India.
Eligibility and Team Limits
The competition is open to all students actively pursuing either an Integrated 5-year LL.B. or a 3-year LL.B. program. This includes students from recognized Law Schools, Universities, and Institutions both within India and those offering law programs outside India. Each participating institution is permitted to register a maximum of three teams.
Mode of Competition
The competition will utilize a hybrid mode:
- National Teams (Indian Institutions): The competition for Indian teams will be held in-person (offline) at the University Campus.
- International Teams: The competition for teams participating from institutions outside India will be conducted online.

- Registration opens and release of moot problem: November 19, 2025
- Last date to Seek Clarification: January 15, 2026
- Last date for Registration: January 31, 2026
- Last date of Soft Copy of Memorial Submission: February 2, 2026
- Inaugural Ceremony, Hard Copy Memorial Submission, Preliminary Round, Quarter Final Round, Researcher’s Test, Social Eve: February 7, 2026
- Semi-Final Round, Final Round, Valedictory Ceremony: February 8, 2026
Team Composition
Each participating team must consist of either two (2) or three (3) members.
- Two-member team: Includes two speakers only, where one speaker also fulfills the role of the researcher.
- Three-member team: Includes two speakers and one researcher.
All team members must belong to the same institution or department. Any necessary changes to the team composition must be communicated to the Organizing Committee (OC) via email.
Registration Process and Fee
Interested teams must complete the online registration form. Registration operates on a first-come, first-served basis, and the process will close as soon as the participation cap is reached.
- Indian Teams: Required to pay a registration fee of INR 3,000/-. The OC will provide accommodation assistance for national teams participating offline.
- International Teams: There is no registration fee for international teams participating online.
Upon successful completion of the registration form, teams will receive a confirmation email from the OC containing the payment details. Teams that do not receive the confirmation should contact the organizers immediately via the provided email address.
Awards
The competition offers substantial cash prizes, totaling INR 62,000, along with certificates and trophies:
- Winning Team: Cash Prize of INR 18,000/- + Merit Certificate + Trophy
- Runner-up Team: Cash Prize of INR 11,000/- + Merit Certificate + Trophy
- Best International Team: Cash Prize of INR 18,000/- + Merit Certificate
- Best Speaker: Cash Prize of INR 5,000/- + Merit Certificate + Trophy
- Best Researcher: Cash Prize of INR 5,000/- + Merit Certificate + Trophy
- Best Memorial: Cash Prize of INR 5,000/- + Merit Certificate + Trophy
- All other participants will receive a Certificate of Participation.
