About The Seminar

The National E-Seminar titled “Protection of Human Rights in the Globalized World: Emerging Challenges” aims to delve into the complex landscape where the dynamics of human rights intersect with the forces of globalization. This innovative virtual seminar seeks to bring together experts, scholars, activists, policymakers, and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and regions to explore, analyze, and propose actionable solutions to the pressing challenges faced in safeguarding human rights amidst globalization.

Objectives

The E-Seminar “Protection of Human Rights in the Globalized World: Emerging Challenges” aims to address the complexities of the intersection of human rights and globalization. It focuses on understanding intersectionality, and examining the impact of technological advancements, global supply chains, and environmental changes on diverse communities. The seminar also identifies emerging challenges from globalization, such as digital rights violations, labor exploitation, environmental degradation, and indigenous rights infringements.

Call For Papers

Club of Law Students invites well-researched and unpublished research papers, case analyses, and articles by Academicians, Policymakers, Journalists, Lawyers, Bureaucrats, Research scholars, and Students. Research papers shall be subject to the approval of the Editorial Board for inclusion in the seminar. The Seminar calls for papers under the following sub-themes. However, the list is only indicative and not exhaustive. Any other topic related to the Seminar theme may also be submitted.

Submission Guidelines

  • All submissions have to be in English.
  • The abstract should not be more than 500 words. It shall be accompanied by a cover letter containing – a brief profile of the author including e-mail ID, contact number, designation, institution, and official address.
  • The word limit for a research paper is 6000-8000 words (inclusive of all citations and references).
  • Submissions must be typed in Times New Roman, Font Size 12 on A4 size paper with a 1” margin on all sides with 1.5-line spacing. The heading should be in Times New Roman, Font Size 14, Bold, 1.5-line spacing, center-aligned while the sub-heading should be in Times New Roman, Font Size 13, Italicized, 1.15–line spacing. Footnotes must be in Times New Roman, Font Size 10 with 1.0-line spacing. The file extension shall be .doc.
  • There can be a maximum of only one Co-Author. All the co-authors need to get registered for the seminar.
  • Plagiarism shall not exceed more than 15%.
  • The Author(s) should also send a declaration along with the abstract & final paper that their work is original and unpublished and that it does not infringe the copyright laws. The organizing committee is not responsible for any copyright infringements by the authors and if found the paper is liable to be disqualified at any stage.
  • Author(s) are required to adhere to a uniform mode of citation :
  • 21st edition of The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation
  • Author(s) who intend to present their research papers in the seminar are required to submit the Abstract on or before 30th December 2023 (latest by 11:59 PM) through the following Email:- contact.cluboflawstudents@gmail.com
  • The abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the Editorial Board and only shortlisted abstracts will be invited to submit final papers as well to present them in the National E-Seminar. The final paper should be submitted after the intimation of acceptance of the abstract. Submission Link will be provided through Email.
  • Selected papers will be published in the book bearing ISBN by Legal Specs. If the Paper is selected for Publication in a Book bearing ISBN, the Contributor has to Contact the Publisher and will have to pay a charge if any one wishes to procure a Hard Copy of the Book as per the bill raised by the Publisher.

  • For Teachers: 700 INR
  • For Indian Industry Professionals: 1000 INR
  • For Students (Foreign Nationals): 25 USD
  • For Teachers & Professionals (Foreign Nationals): 55 USD
  • For Students belonging to Jagran School of Law & Birla School of Law: 350 INR

Those who are seeking to participate in the conference as attendees shall have to pay the fee as described below. Eligibility to attend the conference is subject to successful payment of registration fee.

  • For Foreign participants: 30 USD
  • For Students belonging to Jagran School of Law & Birla School of Law: 50 INR
