About Legal Corporate Job at Aequitas Law Partners
Aequitas Law Partners is looking for a commercially astute Associate with 2–4 years of experience to join their transactional practice in Mumbai. This is a versatile role that spans the entire lifecycle of a deal—from seed-stage venture capital rounds to large-scale mergers and acquisitions.
Job Details
- Position: Associate
- Practice Areas: M&A, Private Equity (PE), Venture Capital (VC), and General Corporate Advisory.
- Location: Mumbai (On-site)
- Experience (PQE): 2–4 Years
Key Responsibilities
- Transaction Execution: Leading or assisting in the drafting and negotiation of key transaction documents (SHAs, SSAs, SPAs, etc.).
- Due Diligence: Conducting and managing comprehensive legal due diligence for buy-side and sell-side mandates.
- Advisory: Providing general corporate legal advice and ensuring compliance with the Companies Act and SEBI regulations.
- Structuring: Assisting in transaction structuring to meet the strategic needs of investors and founders.
- Stakeholder Management: Coordinating directly with internal partners, founders, and external financial advisors to ensure smooth deal closure.
Eligibility Criteria
- Experience: 2–4 years of dedicated PQE in a corporate/transactional law firm environment.
- Skill Set: Proven ability in drafting complex commercial contracts and managing transaction timelines.
- Mindset: Commercially minded with an ability to thrive in the fast-paced, high-pressure environment of “deal-making.”
- Attributes: High attention to detail and strong negotiation skills.
