Khaitan Legal Associates is looking for a lawyer who is genuinely nerdy about data protection, technology, and telecom laws (“DPTT”)
Position
Associate- Data Protection, Technology & Telecom
Role
You will work primarily on DPTT matters including DPDP Act advisory and compliance, due diligences, technology transactions, telecom regulatory advisory, AI governance, cybersecurity frameworks, and cross-border data transfer issues. A portion of your time will be on intellectual property, media, and corporate commercial work alongside the broader corporate team. You will also contribute to the firm’s knowledge management and external outreach.
Eligibility
- Strong research and writing skills
- Experience in contract review and drafting
- Experience in working on due diligence mandates
- Genuine interest in the evolving regulatory landscape – DPDP, AI regulation, telecom, IT Act, and global equivalents
- At least one year of relevant experience – we will consider exceptional candidates without it
