About Paid Law Assessment Internship Opportunity at Sirmacs Consultancy Services
Sirmacs Consultancy Services is opening a new position for a motivated final-year law student or fresher to join us as an Associate Trainee/Assessment Intern, with the opportunity to convert to a full-time Associate. The firm may engage up to 2 candidates for assessment; however, only 1 candidate will be selected for the associate role.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conducting thorough legal research on GST, Customs, Foreign Trade, and allied laws, including statutes, rules, notifications, circulars, and case law.
- Drafting replies to notices, appeals, writ petitions, written submissions, legal opinions, and other documents with accuracy and clarity.
- Assisting in litigation before adjudicating authorities, appellate forums, and tribunals.
- Supporting advisory, compliance, documentation, and day-to-day matter management.
- Keeping track of deadlines, hearings, and case updates.
- Gaining exposure to our expanding practice areas, including Intellectual Property Law and Civil Law, among others.
- The candidate must know how to conduct legal research and draft effectively, including using platforms such as Manupatra and SCC.
𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
- During Assessment: ₹10,000/- per month
- On conversion to Associate: ₹20,000 – ₹30,000/- per month (CTC)
𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭

𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 & 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
- Final-year students pursuing a 5-year or 3-year LL.B. course at a university recognised by the Bar Council of India, or freshers with up to 1 year of experience.
- Final-year students must intend to enrol as an Advocate with their respective State Bar Council upon completing their degree.
- Freshers (with up to 1 year of experience) must already be enrolled as an Advocate with the State Bar Council, or be awaiting the result from the last AIBE.
𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
Rajendra Place, New Delhi. The person must be present in the office throughout the association, whether as a trainee or an associate. Remote work/work from home cannot be accommodated at any point in time.
𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞
- Selection as an Assessment Intern/Associate Trainee does not automatically guarantee conversion to an Associate. The firm reserves the discretion to terminate the association at any time.
- In the event a candidate does not intend to enrol as an Advocate, whether after completing the assessment or after being appointed as an Associate, the firm may, at its discretion, terminate the association.
